THAAR 2018 is categorized as follows:

Individual 150 Race on 18th Nov- 150 Kms (Road/Hybrid/MTB)

Individual 100 Race on 18th Nov - 100 Kms (Road/Hybrid/MTB) (Podium for MTB Only)

Individual Beginner's Race 18th Nov- 50 Kms (Road/Hybrid/MTB)
Podium Positions to be awarded in both Male & Female categories in each race event -

A) Cash Prizes for Podium positions in Male and Female Category

Bike Type Categorization (Technical Criteria):

MTB : Installed Tyre width from 48 mm (approx 1.9 inch) & above

Hybrid : Installed Tyre width from 28 mm to 47 mm

Road Bike : Installed Tyre width up to 27 mm

In case of any ambiguity at the time of race the decision of Head of Technical Committee will be final

Finisher's Certificates will be emailed to participants post event

This is a Time Chipped Event and every successful finisher will get the finishing time along with their ranking as per gender.

A Rider can participate only in one category out of 150,100 Kms and 50 Kms.
-
THAAR 2018 is being conducted over public roads, highways and bridges and is subject to national, state and local rules and law.
-
The authority of local police and highway patrol officers should be complied by the rider
-
Rider must obey all traffic laws including stopping at stop signs and stop lights.
-
Rider must be over 18 years as on 1st Nov. 2018 (applies for 150 Kms, 100 Kms and 50 Kms Race events only)
Note: Riders under 18 years and above 16 years of age can participate in 150 Kms, 100 Kms, 50 Kms after ascertaining parents/legal guardian's consent. They will have to submit a signed Idemnity Bond - format at the time of reporting for race and Race Kit Placard collection. -
Race kit will include Timing Chipped Placard which needs to be fixed and made visible on Bike Handlebar all the time.

Race Results for each category will be timed using Time Chipped Placard.

Each rider needs to ensure he passes over the timing mats at each control point to record his/her timing for the race. Any misses will be regarded as disqualifications.

Men & Women both Indian and Foreign Nationals can participate

Bike Type allowed - Road, Hybrid, MTB (Podium and Prize in each segment as mentioned on top of the page)

Bike check will be conducted by organizers before the event details mentioned below

Riders may not draft behind any vehicle. However, Rider may draft behind other riders. Riders found to be drafting behind any motor operated vehicle will be disqualified.

A rider waiver form given at the race venue has to be signed before the commencement of race
-
Any rider may carry and use one or more cycles during the ride. A rider carrying more than one cycle during the ride will do at his own cost.

Every rider must display his bib number prominently, both on himself and his cycle.

Refreshment and Hydration points will be placed at each control point.

Please Note: Route can be altered and changed as deemed fit by organizers before the race in case of any emergency/weather and road conditions.

THAAR 2018 will have a media/photographers/film crew along the race. Such photos and videos may be used for promotional & commercial purposes after the event.

Any objections regarding the results must be made within 1 hour after the announcement of results to the organizers and the decision of Race Director will be final and without appeal.

Hydration and Refreshment points -

Rider should ensure proper hydration and nutrition during the ride as it will be a challenging and demanding race.

The organizers shall make available at all control points and refreshment stations
-
Water, Energy drinks, ORS, Sachets of Biscuits, Bananas, Chocolate bars to all participating riders, free of cost.

There are many road side eateries on the race route. A rider may stop and use the services of these eateries at his/her own cost.
-
In addition it is highly recommended that all riders carry some food and hydration drink (water, sports drink etc.) on their person when riding.
